Position Overview: Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar. Takes drink orders from customers and servers. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes. Mixes ingredients for cocktails and serves wine and bottle or draft beer. Rings drink orders into register, collects payment and makes change. Also washes and sterilizes glassware and prepares garnishes for drinks. Takes food orders and serves food to customers. Bartender also prevents Customer Stampedes by ensuring that customers receive Blazin’ Service and that customers’ needs and expectations are exceeded.

Prerequisites: Preferably a minimum of 1 year of in a bartender position within the restaurant business. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to supervisors and team members. Must be customer sensitive and possess a sense of timing so that the Five cents of Service excellence can be properly executed. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language of the work location. Must have basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and be familiar with standard drink recipes. Must be service and team oriented, having tremendous ability to work with others in a team environment.

We are looking for Servers, Hosts, and Bartenders with four Diamond restaurant experience. Ideal candidate will have a minimum 3+ year’s hands on experience in high-volume Restaurants. Must be proficient in all aspects of the food service industry from Fine Dining to Banquets, also you must have experience with traditional Japanese cuisine. Hotel experience is a plus!
Due to the success and growth of our company, we are seeking talented people to fill positions for the front of the house in our new Japanese restaurant in Torrance, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting guests in a polite manner, providing information and advice, taking orders, turning food orders into kitchen;
- Serving guests, delivering snacks, food and beverages, checking on and attending to the needs of guests;
- Preparing and setting up for the meal, cleaning the tables;
- Providing friendly, efficient and competent service, understanding the venue philosophy, menu and procedures, adhere to sanitary and service standards;
- Maintaining cheerful, positive attitude so that guests enjoy their time at the venue whether during a party or on a regular day;
- Referring guests to the management with any arising complaints, suggestions or issues; working closely with other team members; understanding kitchen procedures and staying updated on current events and offers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Great communication skills
• Fluent in English, Japanese is a plus
• Ability to multi-task
• Must be a team player, and know how to lead a team
• Ability to work under a high pressure environment
• Solid knowledge of Traditional Japanese cuisine is a big PLUS!
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of (3) years experience in a fine dining and high volume restaurant
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all types of people.
• Proven track record of having excellent customer service values.
• Ability to work varied shifts & days of the week
• Has a “drive for results” attitude
